Why the change?
During recent months, Beame conducted research to identify how consumers viewed our brand and the type of service that Beame provides. This revealed that there is a definite misconception about the positioning of the Beame service, where consumers expect tracking-related features.
As a result, it became imperative to ensure that the market knew and understood that Beame is strictly a stolen vehicle recovery solution.
The new tagline conveys precisely the service that Beame provides – stolen vehicle recovery.
What is the difference between vehicle tracking and vehicle recovery?
Essentially, a stolen vehicle recovery solution, such as Beame, is designed to provide the customer with the exact location of your car (or bike, boat or any moveable asset). So, while you are unable to track it yourself, Beame is able to locate the signal from your installed device, with the latest GPS and Radio Frequency technology, in the event of theft, hijacking or an emergency. Simply contact the Beame Emergency number on 086 023 2631 if your car has been stolen or hijacked, and a team of recovery agents will be dispatched to go and find it.
Tracking, on the other hand, is substantially different. It enables you to see the exact location of your car using your smartphone, tablet or desktop. Depending on the package you select, there are a number of additional benefits including harsh event reporting, monitoring of fuel and vehicle expenses and an automated GPS tax logbook, amongst others.
