I never thought it would happen to me but then one Monday morning, it did. I walked outside and my car was gone – nowhere to be seen. I immediately thought that I need to call Beame and thankfully, had the number stored on my phone. Within a few seconds, a Beame agent answered and as I explained that my car had been stolen, I hit a complete blank – I couldn’t remember my car’s registration, my ID number or even the colour of my car – all I remember saying was that it was beige, silver or champagne – I just didn’t know.
The Beame agent, Michael, was incredibly helpful though, I think he could hear that I was completely shaken up. He was patient, understanding and very calm, keeping me updated throughout the entire ordeal. He phoned me every 10 minutes to make sure that I was ok, and to notify me of the location of my car. I think it was during the fifth call that he informed me that my vehicle had been found and recovered somewhere in Braamfisherville. Fortunately, there hadn’t been enough time for the criminals to strip the car because Beame had found the car before they could even begin. It was such a relief!
